Our Origin

Turning Financial Complexity Into Student Persistence

Arbol began with a simple realization that our co-founders experienced first-hand: students don’t stop out because they don’t care, they stop out because they get stuck. A confusing aid offer. A missed requirement. A balance they didn’t expect. One financial hurdle can derail an entire degree.

We set out to understand why this happens so often. And what we learned was clear: higher education finances are not just expensive, they’re difficult to navigate. Information lives in too many places, deadlines stack up, and students are expected to make high-stakes financial decisions without clarity or support.

So we built Arbol to make that experience dramatically easier. We partnered with experts in higher education, student financial decision-making, and technology to create a Student Financial Success Platform that guides students through every financial step that impacts enrollment, persistence, and completion.
